
Avalon Bauman is a Senior Analyst with experience in policy analysis, data analysis, and applied research. She has developed policy recommendations for California EV battery recycling legislation as a Policy Consultant for the Union of Concerned Scientists and investigated multilateral finance accountability mechanisms in Mexico as a Fulbright research grantee. Avalon completed her Master of Public Policy at UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy with a Certificate in Applied Data Science and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from UC Berkeley. While at the Goldman School, she worked with the Berkeley Institute for Young Americans analyzing national datasets to support youth-focused policy initiatives and with Accountability Counsel researching the effectiveness of independent accountability mechanisms in Latin America.
