Karl Beitel is a Senior Analyst with expertise in the areas of economics, finance, and urban development. Prior to joining Harvey M. Rose Associates, Mr. Beitel directed a research project funded by the Ford Foundation on how municipalities can establish alternative means to finance affordable housing and targeted economic development. He has previously worked as an analyst for public sector unions, and a policy analyst for the Institute of Food and Development Policy. Mr. Beitel is the author of “Local Protest, Global Movements” published by Temple University Press as well as numerous articles on various topics related to economic development, urban politics, and housing.
